BREAKING: Woman sustains '˜serious injuries' during assault in Milton Keynes this morning

Officers were called to an incident in Saxon Gate East, Central Milton Keynes, after 8am and a woman in her thirties was taken to Milton Keynes General Hospital for treatment.

She has sustained serious injuries.

A scene watch is in place and officers are in the area making enquires.

“We believe that this was an isolated incident and that the offender is known to the victim,” said Detective Inspector Jason Simpson from Milton Keynes

“Force CID officers are in the area at the moment and I would urge anyone who has any information about what happened to speak to them or call 101.

“Members of the local community may be very shaken by what has happened this morning, but I would like to reassure you that we are working as quickly as possible to establish the circumstances of what happened.”
