With such an exciting year ahead and lots of people getting active, British Cycling is inviting as many women as possible to dust off their helmets and enjoy the benefits of bike riding.

The Breeze network of women-only rides is all about remembering what fun it is to ride a bike with friends.

Organised by female British Cycling Breeze champions, the free rides are on local, accessible routes and in small friendly groups. The champions will take the ladies on a fabulous journey where they can enjoy the fun, freedom and fresh air of a bike ride.

Rides are taking place all year round and are ideal for women and mums who are looking to get back on a bike and make new friends. The next ride takes place on Thursday 24th May 2012 at 5.30pm from the NEF Car Park, Davy Avenue, Knowlhill, Milton Keynes, MK5 8NG.

Natalie Justice, Breeze Network Project Manager for British Cycling, said: “Breeze bike rides are perfect for helping women get out and about in a fun and informal way and meet like-minded people. Our Breeze champions can help you find the fun of bike riding again.”

It has never been easier to get back on a bike as the Breeze network offers some great information, advice and support on a wide range of topics including access to cycle hire, someone to ride with and safe routes in their local area.

Breeze is part of British Cycling’s programme of free events, activities, information and support designed to help and inspire people of all ages and abilities to re-discover the fun of bike riding and get one million more people cycling regularly by 2013.
