In a year when top grades tumble, Denbigh is celebrating an outstanding set of GCSE results, with a significant improvement on last year.
74% per cent of students achieved 5 or more A*-C grades including English and Maths, with almost a quarter of all grades achieved being at A* and A grade, in a year where nationally the top grades plummeted, amidst continued examination volatility.
There were some stunning individual performances, with the top ten students each securing the equivalent of thirteen A*s!
Andy Squires, Head Teacher, said “I am very proud of the results and all of the hard work of the students, teachers and parents, all necessary in order to ensure that were able to build on last year’s successes, with students achieving even
better results this year.
“I am particularly pleased that the students have secured all the necessary grades, in droves, ready to start their Sixth Form studies at Denbigh, in what promises to be a bumper year”.
