Burglars threaten lone woman at knifepoint

A woman was forced to the floor and threatened at knifepoint when burglars targeted her home on Thursday night.

The three men called at the home in Bentall Close, Willen, at around 10pm.

The victim opened the door and was pushed into the house and onto the floor.

They then demanded money and threatened her at knifepoint, before taking three rings, including two wedding rings, and cash.

The victim suffered bruises and a cut to her wrist but did not require hospital treatment.

The offenders were about 5ft 5ins and stocky. They all wore black hats with peaks, black scarves around their faces and black clothing.

One of them wore red gloves that were snugly fitted.
