Burning car left destroyed in suspected arson attack in Milton Keynes

A car was set alight in Juniper Gardens, Milton Keynes, at 12:32am. Despite firefighters attending the scene the car was destroyed.

Reports from the Bucks Fire and Rescue Service suggest the fire was started deliberately.

A spokesperson from the Bucks Fire and Rescue service said the following, in a statement released at 12:32 AM: "The car was destroyed. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately."

Two crews from the Bucks Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and used a hose reel in an attempt to limit the damage caused.

Firefighters in Milton Keynes were called out in Newport Pagnell at 10:30pm yesterday. Two crews attended a fire caused by an overheated pan at The Grove in Newport Pagnell.

Firefighters ventilated the kitchen where the pan had overheated and completed a safety check on the premises.
