Burning lorry causes two way delays on A5 near Milton Keynes

Reports of congestion have been confirmed after a lorry caught fire on the A5 today (April 12).

The incident was first reported by Highways England at 10:55am this morning, the lorry set alight at the A4146 Bletcham Way, by the Caldecotte Roundabout.

Congestion and delays have been confirmed as far back as Groveway, traffic officers are on the scene, the vehicle has yet to be recovered.

The lorry is currently taking up two lanes on the Southbound junction, the vehicle no longer appears to be on fire.

A later report from Heart News suggested the A5 was shut both ways.
