Bus route change celebrated by Arriva

Bus routes across the city are changing on April 22 and Arriva will be holding a three-day event to celebrate.

Across that weekend there will be a bus hunt, colouring competition and much more with great prizes on offer including a year’s free bus travel, £100 shopping vouchers and a Nintendo 3DS.

The three day event will be jam packed with exciting competitions, including guessing the name of the mascot bus driver, a colouring in competition for kids, and a Bus hunt.

The event is to promote improvements to the services around Milton Keynes. To celebrate the number 2 and 300 services being improved to run up to four times an hour there will be four model Arriva buses hidden in stores around the shopping centre, which the winning bus hunter can win £100 CMK shopping vouchers by finding.

To aid the bus hunters the following clues for the buses locations are as follows:

• Arrive at the glass Kube.

• A bus with a H.

• Mr and MS bus.

• msbeDenha.

More improvements are coming to Milton Keynes bus services including, Woburn Sands being added to the 300 Park and Ride route, a simpler route for the 1 service and other changes to improve reliability.

Arriva are keen to hear feedback from customers and are offering a prize draw prize of an annual bus ticket. People just need to complete a very short survey and one lucky person will win bus travel for a year, worth over £400.

Linsey Frostick, Regional Marketing Manager said, “The changes to our services in Milton Keynes offer significant improvements to our services and we want to give people the opportunity to find out more about the changes and pick up the new timetables. The new MK Council guides will also be available collection from us, the event will have something for everyone, with a competition aimed at all ages and great prizes it is definitely worth coming to see us.

“With the cost of fuel at an all-time high, the cost of a single trip into town can actually be less than a litre of fuel, for those people who have not been on a bus for a while, maybe now is the time to try it and start saving money”
