Businesses in Milton Keynes and Bedford have been given a crash course in digital marketing.
With social media fast becoming a greater part of business marketing and strategy, it can add tremendous value to a business’ or organisation’s marketing if managed correctly.
Ben Searle, Director of SocialMediAgency (SMA) a social media management company, chose to recently launch his first course in digital marketing at The Holiday Inn Express, Bedford.
Covering topics such as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Hootsuite, and broader digital marketing topics such as website SEO optimisation and Google analytics, Ben and his team are shedding light on an area of marketing local companies should be fully embracing.
Ben said: “Companies know they need to do social media but find it both daunting and time consuming. Some companies start Twitter and Facebook then simply neglect the regular input or don’t understand how to maximise activity, which makes the social media worthless. By working with local companies we identified a big need for courses and training and gained enough interest to kick off our plans for providing regular events with an initial one day course.”
