A 14 year quest for new affordable homes has come to fruition.
Last week, Mursley Parish Council celebrated the open of the Taylors Corner Mursley development.
Chairman of the council, Gerry Gallagher, said that over the 14 years three separate surveys of the area had been conducted – all of which overwhelmingly identified a need for affordable housing.
The new properties consist of five homes for rent and three for shared ownership.
Mr Gallagher also thanked all the participants for their endeavours over the years, including the landowners who made the development possible.
The development was blessed by rector of St Mary’s Church, Laurence Meering, while the ribbon cutting was performed by John Williamson.
