IF it won’t stop raining then one solution is to bring the beach indoors!
And that’s just what thecentre:mk is doing from July 21 to September 2 when 160 tonnes of sand are placed in Middleton Hall.
As well as an exhibition on the History of Aquatics, visitors will be able to watch the Olympics on a giant screen, take part in crazy golf and relax in deck chairs.
There will be a Costa Coffee beach cafe and games for children provided by Milton Keynes Play Association.
Melanie Beck, head of marketing and communication at thecentre:mk, said: “We welcome the local charity MK Dons Sport and Education Trust and look forward to thecentre:mk visitors getting into the sporty spirit. Don’t forget your bucket and spade!”
