A visionary businessman will be giving a pep talk at the launch of a new report into the state of the county’s economy.
Pete Winkelman, chairman of the MK Dons, will be the keynote speaker at the first Buckinghamshire Limited in-depth review into business growth within Buckinghamshire.
Mr Winkelman won’t have far to go as the breakfast event on Friday, October 18, will be held at stadium:mk.
David Newstead, partner at Grant Thornton Milton Keynes, said: “We are delighted to welcome such a high profile speaker to Buckinghamshire Limited whose work has done so much to shape our county’s professional sporting scene.
“Pete Winkelman’s vision for stadiummk has brought with it much needed investment and jobs into the county. His business insights and forecast for the future will be extremely interesting to all.”
The Buckinghamshire Limited study will analyse the performance of the county’s top 100 companies, evaluating details such as operating profit and employment figures, as well as breaking down the findings by sector. The top 100 companies will be selected based on the postcode of their trading address and turnover levels.
The event is organised by Milton Keynes-based business and financial advisers Grant Thornton.
