A new casino due to open in Milton Keynes in September has announced its top management team.
The new Aspers casino in Xscape will employ a total of around 250 people in the new city’s thriving leisure quarter with a mix of live gaming and what the firm calls all-round entertainment.
And as far as the management team is concerned, what is Northampton’s loss is Milton Keynes’ gain.
General manager Nigel Hartland, pictured right, was general manager in Northampton for four years. He’s worked in bingo clubs and has worked all over the country.
Nigel’s assistant, David Stratford, pictured, second left, held the same role in Northampton. He learned his trade at the Stanley Casino in Luton from 1991 to 1993 and has worked on cruise ships.
Head of hospitality Darren Kent, second right, came to Aspers in Milton Keynes straight from running the food retailing operation at the O2 Arena in London.
He is no stranger to some of the nation’s most exciting sporting events having worked on London 2012 Olympics, ATP tennis finals and The Brit Awards.
Karen Andrew, left, Aspers marketing manager, has been campaigns manager at Aspers in Northampton for the last three years but is no stranger to Milton Keynes. She has lived in the area for the past 16 years and been employed by local businesses including McCann Homes.
