A NEW computer training venture for the over-50s is launching in Milton Keynes.

Silver Training is a national franchise business run locally by tutor Lynne Cobine, in Shamrock Close, Walnut Tree.

Silver Training helps the over-50s learn about computers and the internet, using a network of tutors in their own homes. It was started in Oxfordshire by 28-year-old Matthew Adam.

Matthew said: “I could see there was a demand for bringing teachers to the client in the comfort of their own home, rather than leaving to go to a local centre, but no one was doing it.

“There is almost a whole generation that have missed out on computers and the growth of the Internet, so we have seen our work have a genuine effect on people’s lives.”

“It is never too late to start: our oldest client is 95 years old!”

Lynne covers a 15 mile radius, taking in Newport Pagnell, Bletchley and Leighton Buzzard.
