Rising star Aimie Keki has gone from graduate to director at a major accountancy firm in less than 13 years.
Aimie, who joined KPMG via the firm’s graduate scheme in 2001, has worked in the Milton Keynes office, in North Fourth Street, since 2009.
Aimie, a Northamptonshire resident, was identified as one of the firm’s emerging leaders, and has most recently been in the audit team.
Her focus is the retail sector and she works with businesses across the region. Her speciality is the food and drink sector which, given the recent horse meat scandal, has kept her busy.
Mark Matthewman, senior partner for KPMG in Milton Keynes said: “Being promoted to Didector is an incredibly tough process at KPMG and I am absolutely delighted that Aimie’s specialist technical expertise, industry knowledge and hard work has been acknowledged with his promotion.
“Aimie is very popular with our staff and clients and has had a number of very successful years in helping local companies with their business agendas through the recession.
“Recruiting, retaining and promoting talent is essential to any large, growing business and Aimie is a great asset to our business here in the region. Her promotion is also a reflection of how important our local office is to the UK firm.”
In addition to her audit role, Aimie heads up KPMG’s Women in Business network in Milton Keynes, which has a membership of over 250 people. The takes up her new post later this year.
