THREE Milton Keynes area firms are cock-a-hoop after sealing great positions in national awards.
> Newport Pagnell-based Childbase was the only childcare provider in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For awards, achieving 23rd place in the mid sized category.
The company, based in Northampton Road, was ranked first for making the best use of employee skills and took second in the personal growth category.
Among the benefits offered by Childbase were a nursery cook who received a cheque for £10,000 for exemplary work attendance. There is also a cash prize for employee of the month and throughout the company, staff are given opportunities to broaden their horizons with overseas travel.
> Revolution Vodka Bars, which has an outlet at the Xscape complex, moved up nine places from 34 in 2010 to number 25 this year in the Sunday Times 100 best small companies. It has also retained the number one spot of most fun company and the best bar in the UK to work for.
> Business Environment, a serviced office operator in Avebury Bouvelard, scooped 38th position in the Sunday Times 100 in the small companies section.
