Small businesses are being offered the secrets of success, at a summit on February 26.
Statistics show only about 65 per cent of small businesses are still trading after the first three years of initial start-up. After five years, fewer than 45 per cent of businesses will have survived.
The joint Biztech / Kingston Smith event will look into the findings of a ground-breaking new survey which reveals the key lessons for UK SMEs in finding success in challenging times.
Silvia Vitiello, a partner at Kingston Smith who specialises in advising entrepreneurial businesses, will make the presentation before inviting questions and opening a discussion about how businesses can use the information and put it in to practice.
Fredi Nonyelu, chairman of Biztech, said: “Milton Keynes and the wider South East Midlands is one of the most exciting regions in the country for business start-ups.
“Often however people with great ideas don’t always have the skills of accountancy and administration that make great businesses.
“Part of our role in promoting start up businesses in the technology sector across Milton Keynes and the South East Midlands is to promote the skills for success. This seminar is set to reveal the secret formulas for SME success.”
The results of the survey will be given exclusively to each attendee. The findings are based on the views of more than 1,000 business leaders in the UK, delving into the key triggers for success.
