New home for pets shopping in Bletchley

Pet lovers in Bletchley now have a new home for their supplies after retail giant Pets at Home opened its newest store on Friday.

MK Dons players David Martin and Shaun Williams were given a guided tour of the shop at the Beacon Retail Park in Watling Street and staff posed for pictures.

As well as the usual pet food, toys and products, the new 7,810 sq ft shop, open seven days a week, also boasts a Groom Room and its own veterinary practice.

The Bletchley store, which employs a total of 24 staff, is the company’s 355th in the UK, including another shop in Central Milton Keynes.

Experienced store manager Paul Wright said he jumped at the chance to take over in Bletchley and was looking forward to a busy weekend of business.
