WINNERS of last year’s operational excellence award, Places for People, are looking for an entrepreneur to run a centrepiece shop on a community development in Milton Keynes.
Places for People, the developers behind the 2,500-home Brooklands development say they are looking to the past to create something new and exciting for the future.
Project director, Simon Elcock, said: “Our vision for the store is it should draw everyone together and be a place where people meet their neighbours and form the kind of friendships which knit villages together.”
The right candidate could be offered the chance to run the shop even if they don’t have huge funds. The right candidate could have a profit share rental arrangement as an incentive for them to really get the shop buzzing. The shop will sell all the traditional things one would expect like milk and newspapers but also specialise in stocking high quality, locally-grown produce.
