Shoppers who bought Christmas fairy lights from Primark could be at risk of an electric shock.
Customers who purchased the lights have this week been urged to return them after a safety risk was identified.
Both the multi coloured and clear sets of lights have a “potential issue with the performance of the plug, that could lead to an electric shock,” say Primark, which has a store at MK1.
A spokesman said: “With the safety of our customers at the forefront of our minds we are inviting you to return these items purchased for a full refund.”
The potential fault applies to boxes of 40, 100 and 200 fairy lights which were on sale between October 19 and November 28 this year.
