An education charity is looking for business volunteers to help teenagers in Milton Keynes find out about the world of work.

The entire Year 10 cohort at St Pauls Catholic School, in Phoenix Drive, Leadenhall, is being taken off timetable on Wednesday, July 10 to take part in Worktree’s work related learning workshops.

The aim is to get students enthused about the world of work through ‘hands on’ activities, looking at skills they will need for the work place and to give them a chance to meet people from a wide variety of job roles.

There are volunteering opportunities for either a morning, afternoon or full 9am-3.30pm school day.

Worktree, based in Milton Keynes, links businesses and schools in a range of activities to develop young people’s career awareness and employability skills, including quality experiences of work.

Contact events co-ordinator Bhupinder Roda by emailing bhupinder.roda@worktree.org or phone (01908) 209940 between the hours of 9.30am and 2pm.
