A MILTON Keynes hotel will be hoping to take away top accolades from this year’s business excellence awards.
Jurys Inn, in Midsummer Boulevard, has been shortlisted in three categories for the awards organised by the Milton Keynes and North Bucks Chamber of Commerce.
General manager at the 279-room three-star hotel is Grace McElroy. She said the hotel staff were thrilled to be shortlisted.
She said: “It’s important for us to be recognised for our contribution, particularly for training, environmentality and customer service.
“Working as part of the local community is what makes Jurys Inn Milton Keynes so successful, from attending networking events to supporting a range of charities, through hosting events or simply fundraising for a good cause.”
The hotel is well known by the business community with its conference and banqueting suites catering for up to 400 guests.
Jurys Inn hosts events like the Milton Keynes Sporting Lunch Club and other high profile gatherings.
The hotel has been shortlisted with two other businesses in each category for the award for excellence in people development, sponsored by Nampak.
It’s also up for the excellence in customer care category, sponsored by Abbot Fire Group and the energy and environmental award, sponsored by Coca-Cola Enterprise.
The awards night will be held on October 20 at another hotel – Doubletree by Hilton at stadium:mk.
The event’s guest of honour is Red Bull Racing’s team principal, Christian Horner.
Following the announcement of the shortlist in last week’s Citizen, Chamber of Commerce staff reported a surge in demand for tickets.
