MUM and entrepreneur Tracey Bovingdon, pictured, has won a final spot in the national Mumpreneur Awards for her Tea Monkey café concept.
The first in a chain of Tea Monkeys opened in Midsummer Place shopping centre in April.
Mother of two Tracey was undaunted by mega rivals Costa and Starbucks because she believes there is a gap in the market for clear emphasis on tea, whilst providing fantastic coffee and café fayre in a very modern setting.
The Mumpreneur Awards aim to celebrate parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life.
Tracey has been shortlisted for the Best Green Business Award, which is open to businesses who provide eco-friendly or ethical products and services in the UK.
As well as being shortlisted for this category, Tracey is also in with a chance of winning the title of Inspirational Business Mum 2011.
Tracey said: “I am delighted to have been recognised for my achievements in business and share this recognition with many other mums who juggle working life and motherhood.”
Entrepreneur judges include BBC Dragon Duncan Bannatyne.
Winners will be announced on September 25.
