Pam Gosal, the council’s corporate head of economic development and inward investment said: “This is yet another feather in Milton Keynes’ cap, and we are very pleased to have worked so closely with the John Lewis Partnership.
“This week’s ground-breaking ceremony, at Magna Park, marks yet another exciting expansion in Milton Keynes, which now boasts more than 11,000 companies.
“The John Lewis distribution centre will provide jobs for around 450 people when it opens next year, and is a vital boost to our already strong jobs market in Milton Keynes.”
