A WOLVERTON car and van dealer has got peace of mind after buying the freehold of its showroom in Stratford Road.

Saxon Bridge purchased the property at Strettons auctions in Covent Garden, London.

Brett Whiles, MD at Saxon Bridge, said: “We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the auction as it secures our position on the Stratford Road and gives added peace of mind to both our customers and staff that we are here for the long term.

“We are looking forward to developing a programme of modernisation to give our customers more parking, and to enhance the showroom facilities in the near future.”

Saxon Bridge moved to Wolverton in November 2007 and has expanded from used car sales to car and van sales and in 2009 added an additional three-quarters of an acre premises, also in Stratford Road to offer servicing, MOT’s, tyres, exhausts and repairs.

In 2010 it added Practical Car and Van rental to the business offering short and long term car and van hire. It now employs 15 staff and has become Trading Standards Approved and was the first non-franchised used car dealer to be awarded a five-star Used Car Expert award.
