THIS is one Hungry Horse - but do you know his name?
A Milton Keynes restaurant is offering punters the chance to become a part of the pub by having a cake named after them, but only if they can successfully name the equine resident
The Hungry Horse in Broughton is the home of the giant stuffed horse, which lives near the pub’s cake away fridge.
Visitors are being encouraged to take a guess at the name of the horse, with the winner having a cake named after them.
It costs just 50p a go to take a guess, with all proceeds going to MacMillan Cancer Care.
It is the latest charity scheme at the popular pub, which was recently named as the best family restaurant in Milton Keynes at the inaugural Milton Keynes Food & Leisure Awards.
The family-friendly restaurant is also going football crazy in an attempt to cheer England all the way to Euro 2012 glory - and raise money for Milton Keynes Food Bank.
The Hungry Horse will be showing all the games in Euro 2012, including Friday’s opener between Poland and Greece, and the July 1 final.
All of England’s group games will also be shown, starting with the game against France at 5pm tonight.
And The Hungry Horse will be donating a tin of beans to The Food Bank for every goal scored during the tournament.
The Food Bank provides city people in economic difficulty with essential food supplies at the time when they need them most, covering the days or sometimes weeks before other parts of the social care infrastructure can come into play.
The Hungry Horse is open from 11am to 11pm between Monday and Thursday, midnight on Fridays and Saturdays and 12noon to 10.30pm on Sundays.
