TWO people were injured when their car collided with a lorry on the A5, pinning the 4x4 up against the barriers.

On Monday, the Mitsubishi Shogun was crushed against the guard rail near the junction for Great Brickhill and Little Brickhill by the lorry carrying a fully loaded skip.

A man and woman in the car both suffered injuries, but were released from the vehicle before fire engines arrived to assist.

The Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the accident. It said the road traffic collision ‘involved a car and a lorry, on the A5 between Little Brickhill and the Flying Fox roundabout.

‘One appliance and crew from Bletchley and one from Broughton attended. A man and a woman were released, injured, before they arrived.’
