Car smashes into club in Milton Keynes and causes 'significant' damage

A man had to be evacuated from a social club building after a car smashed into it.

The man was inside Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Working Men's Club at 11.44pm last night (Monday) when there was a huge crash.

Bucks Fire and Rescue service says a car had left the road and struck the building.

"The collision caused significant damage to the ground floor," said a spokesman.

"A man inside the building was evacuated, uninjured. The man driving the car was also uninjured. Firefighters made the scene safe and left the incident with the building manager," he added.

The club, which is in Chandos Place, Bletchley, is currently closed during lockdown.

One appliance and crew from West Ashland attended, along with police officers.
