The general manager of the city’s new super casino has described its first four days of business as “a whirlwind” after it attracted 12,500 visitors through the door.

More than 3,000 people a day have been checking out the Casino MK’s 22 live gaming tables, 108 slot machines and 76 electronic gaming terminals, plus sports bar and restaurant since it opened last Thursday.

General manager Nigel Hartland said: “It’s been a whirlwind of a weekend and very encouraging to see so many people coming through our doors and having a great time.

“The responses have been very positive and we have really been welcomed in the city as a new, exciting and vibrant 24/7 entertainment venue.”
