CCTV released in connection with phone robbery

THAMES Valley Police has released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the robbery close to The Point in Milton Keynes.

On Sunday, November 4, around 12.25pm the victim, a 16-year-old boy, got off a bus at The Point and walked towards the shopping centre.

He was approached by a man who asked for a couple of pounds, before demanding his mobile phone and threatening to stab him. The victim then handed over his HTC Sense mobile phone, however, no knife was seen in the incident.

The offender is a light skinned black man, between 5ft 8ins and 5ft 10ins, of slim to medium build, with a distinctive hair style and was clean shaven.

PC Gavin Toney, of Local CID in Milton Keynes, said: “We are keen to speak to the man in the CCTV image as he was seen nearby and we believe he can help with our enquiries.

“The victim, who has Asperger Syndrome, was very distressed following this incident and this has impacted on his day to day life considerably.”
