FANS of dance troupe Diversity were given a treat to help wash the rain away at Morrisons.

Dozens of people braved the showers last Thursday to see the group, who shot to fame on TV’s Britain’s Got Talent, perform as part of the Born to Shine Roadshow at the Westcroft store.

Born to Shine was an ITV1 show which hit screens through July and August and showed celebrities trying their hand at a number of different performances including dance and opera.

Morrisons is working with Born to Shine to get people around the country involved in their interactive workshops and on Thursday the tour made a stop at the Westcroft store.

Children taking part had the chance to shine in their very own 30-minute masterclasses given by Perri Luc Kiely and Mitchell Craske from Diversity along with choreographer John Graham who has worked with Justin Bieber, Beyonce and Cheryl Cole.

And they really got involved with performing some breathtaking moves that even had members of Diversity applauding.

Store manager at Morrisons, Kevin Bell, said: “To have members of Diversity and John Graham perform at the store was amazing and we hope it will bring in as much cash as possible for Save the Children’s brilliant work.”

In a collective statement from Diversity, members said: “We want to show every child out there that they are Born to Shine; we are hoping to tease out the dancer in you with a dance masterclass. Sadly not all children get the chance to fulfil their potential.

“We’re touring the UK with Save the Children because we reckon they’re right – all children can shine if they’re given the chance.”
