A team of supporters ran, wheeled and walked through the grounds of Blenheim Palace last Sunday, to raise money for the Milton Keynes based charity Spinal Injuries Association.

The 30-strong team completed the seven kilometres running route and four miles wheelchair route.

They set a combined target of £1500, but the Oldbrook based charity - which hosts its awareness day on May 20 - has seen sponsorship so far raise a magnificent £2495.

“Our team at Blenheim Palace did an amazing job on Sunday and we’re really proud of them,” said Elizabeth Wright, Individual Fundraising Manager for the Association.

“Not only did they complete the course in just over two hours in such hot weather, but they’ve also exceeded their fundraising target too!
“This money will help the Spinal Injuries Association provide vital services to spinal cord injured people and their families as they rebuild their lives.”
