Charity to charge MK Dons fans for parking

The Harry's Rainbow charity is over the moon this week after being given its own cash-generating car park right next to the StadiumMK.

Kitchen specialist Magnet is loaning its car park to the charity for use during MK Dons home matches.

It means Harry’s Rainbow volunteers can sell parking slots to football fans – who then have just metres to walk to the stadium.

The project was launched on Sunday and raised more than £200 in two hours, said charity founder Odette
Mould.

Her son Harry died in 2009 after he was admitted to Milton Keynes hospital struggling to breathe. He died a few days later aged five and a half.

Harry’s Rainbow has since raised thousands of pounds to help support dozens of families and children who have lost a loved one.

They are now appealing for people to wear Harry’s Rainbow hoodies and help out as car park attendants on busy match days.

Anybody interested can call Odette on 07817 388187.
