Choir celebrates late Christmas

WHEN members of Milton Keynes Community Choir dreamed of a white Christmas they didn’t quite realise the problems that would follow.

For the snow came down so heavily in December that the roads were perilous – and nobody could get to the choir’s long-rehearsed Christmas concert.

The event, due to take place days before Christmas Day, was snowed off.

But on Saturday the choristers got back into the festive spirit to perform their festive postponed repertoire.

They sang a medley of Christmas favourites including ‘I believe in Father Christmas’, ‘Mary Had a Baby’, and ‘Winter Wonderland.’

The performance raised £800 for the Climb Your Mountain charity.

The community choir, which has doubled in size over the past two years, meets on Tuesday evenings and is need of more male tenors and basses.
