CINDERELLA put aside her pumpkin carriage to help launch a new schools service for ChildLine.
One of the star of this year’s pantomine, and a ChildLine counsellor, Anna Williamson was at Monkston Primary School on Thursday to begin the charity’s ambitious programme to visit every primary school in the country by 2016.
ChildLine is aiming to go in to schools and talk to children about how to stay safe and happy and will use assemblies and workshops to educate children and encourage them to recognise situations where they may need help.
Anna, who is in town playing Cinderella, is calling for people in Milton Keynes to come forward and volunteer for the charity. In Milton Keynes the service now needs to recruit 52 volunteers to reach the 83 schools and over 23,670 children in three years.
