Cineworld, the UK’s leading cinema chain, is thrilled to announce the addition of 34 ‘D-BOX’ movement technology seats at Cineworld Milton Keynes on Friday.

In March Cineworld became the first UK cinema chain to offer a fourth dimension to film fans, with the UK’s first D-BOX installation at Cineworld Glasgow Renfrew Street.

D-BOX’s motion experience excites film-goers senses through the power of movement and feeling, creating a multi-sensorial revolution in film watching. D-BOX simulators offer the next dimension of the cinematic experience, placing viewers in the centre of the action. With seat movements perfectly synchronized to the onscreen action and audio, D-BOX seats create an unmatched immersive experience. The introduction of D-BOX to Cineworld cinemas marks the future in cinematic experiences and capabilities.

Cineworld Milton Keynes is delighted to be only the second cinema in the UK to receive D-BOX seats following the successful trial at Cineworld Glasgow Renfrew Street earlier this year. President and CEO of D-BOX Technologies, Claude Mc Master said “This deal marks a major milestone for us as we continue to experience strong, steady growth overseas with Cineworld, the UK’s number one cinema chain*. Cineworld continues to demonstrate their commitment to providing the most innovative and technologically advanced theatrical presentations in the UK.”

Cineworld plans to introduce this all-encompassing entertainment experience in additional Cineworld cinemas nationwide over the coming months, including Cineworld O2 Greenwich, Cineworld Didsbury, Cineworld Castleford and Cineworld Crawley.

Mark Johnson, Cineworld Milton Keynes General Manager, said: “We are thrilled to be introducing D-BOX technology here in Milton Keynes in order to provide a new dimension for cinemagoers. We are really excited to welcome film fans through the doors to experience the most immersive motion cinema experience to date.”
