THIS week’s Citikat concentrates on cats that need a little extra reassurance to become the perfect pampered pet.
Abandoned or cruelly-treated cats can be nervous of human contact at first.
But with patience, these cats often become the best and most grateful pets.

> ROSIE is seven and came to the RSPCA after her owner moved into a care home. She loves a fuss but also loves to rule the roost! She would adore a home with no children and no other pets.
> PEACHES is a 16 week old kitten who is desperate for a home. She and is still very shy so she need a quiet, loving home with adult owners to help her gain confidence and enjoy cuddles.
> SAFFY was unwanted and neglected when she arrived at the RSPCA. She is still timid but won’t refuse a fuss and relaxes after some attention. She needs a patient owner with no children.
> TIGER, a tabby male, and his tortie sister LILLY are only four months old. Despite being born at the RSPCA , they are still very nervous. An outdoor home at a farm or stables would be ideal.
> FIZZ is still mourning the death of her owner. She is affectionate but would not be suitable for children.
