Milton Keynes’ kind-hearted community has rallied round to help undo the damage caused by vandals who trashed a school garden.
Since news of the devastating destruction appeared in the Citizen, staff at Bradwell Village School say they have been inundated with help and support from B&Q, Tesco, Dobbies, Wolverton Road Allotment Association and local residents.
Weeks of work by green-fingered children was destroyed when criminals trashed their greenhouse and stole tools in May. At an assembly on Monday, the kids were presented with new tools and equipment from Tesco.
Gary Reed, school learning mentor, said: “The children are overwhelmed by the community’s generosity and they would like to thank everyone for their contributions.”
