City Crown Court is a step closer

A CITY Judge has been appointed an Honorary Recorder to preside over a future Crown Court in Milton Keynes.

His Honour Judge Anthony Hughes will now appear in his robes at civic functions and become a familiar sight to residents, said Councillor Alan Richards, who proposed his appointment.

“In a growing city such as Milton Keynes it is inevitable that one day we will need a Crown Court,” he said.

His Honour Judge Hughes, who has always worked in Milton Keynes, is the city’s most senior judge and the obvious choice,” said Mr Richards
