A city man, charged with conspiracy to steal in connection with an alleged £1.3 million cyber-fraud at a London branch of Barclays Bank, is due to appear at Southwark Crown Court today.

Adam Raeburn Jefferson, 38, of Newport Road, New Bradwell, was one of three men arrested in October by officers from the Metropolitan Police Cyber Crime Unit investigating the theft of £1.3 million from the Swiss Cottage branch of Barclays in April.

The other men, both from London, are Lanre Mullins-Abudu, 25, and 24-year-old Duane Jean-Jaque – a former employee of Barclays.

Previously, four men were charged on September 21 in connection with the theft.
