City musician wins Marshall raffle

A city musician won the Marshall Amplification raffle, held in aid of Willen Hospice and in memory of Jim Marshall.

Chris Mitchell was the lucky holder of the number 24 ticket drawn by Marshall managing director Jon Ellery.

He won an exclusive amplifier and a tour of the Marshall facility in Bletchley. He attended the ceremony with his bandmate Neil Mercer and two other local musicians.

Willen Hospice Chief Executive Paul Hinson said: “We are extremely grateful to Marshalls Amp for supplying us with this fine piece of equipment to generate essential funds for the Hospice.”

The raffle saw more than £2,000 raised by Marshall for the charity’s hospice care services.
