The boss of a Theatre District nightclub is trying to reassure city party-goers that the area is safe following an incident in which four men were stabbed at the weekend.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward with information after three men suffered stab wounds to their stomach or abdomen outside the Cookies & Cream nightclub at around 4am on Saturday morning.

Another man suffered a stab wound to his lower back and all four were treated at Milton Keynes Hospital.

Oliver Ibrahim, operations director at Cookies & Cream, said: “The incident occurred outside our venue after we had closed.

“I would like to reassure the public that this is an isolated incident and nobody was injured inside.

“I cannot comment further on the cause of this incident until the police investigation has concluded.

“We are happy that all steps were taken by management and security to ensure public safety and we pride ourselves on creating a safe and enjoyable environment. I highly commend the actions of my team in protecting our customers.”

Investigating officer, DS Phil Turner-Robson of Milton Keynes CID, said: “I would like to reassure the public that incidents such as these are not common, and that the Force is fully investigating the matter.”
