Council leader visits one of London's Seven Wonders

Councillor Peter Marland has taken time to visit Europe's first traditional Hindu Temple, The BAPS Swaminarayan Mandir in London, a place of worship known as the Neasden Temple.The historic visit was organised by the MK BAPS Swaminarayan Cultural Centre in order to coincide with activities at the Mandir during Mothering Sunday and Holi, one of the most colourful festivals in the Hindu calendar, welcoming the onset of Spring.

“I, together with my family, enjoyed the visit thoroughly and am truly inspired by your work for the community,” he told representatives.

“The foundations of this magnificent Mandir are integrity, faith, team work, service excellence and respect shown to other cultures.

“This concept is brilliant in every way and can be witnessed at The Mandir.

“We could all share from your example,” he added.
