A nursery has been given the go ahead to open on the site of a former residential care home in Stony Stratford.
Milton Keynes Council’s cabinet approved proposals for the 36 place nursery to be built on part of the St Giles House site.
The rest of the area will be allocated 50 extra care sheltered housing units.
The council will work with the successful bidder to create facilities which will be run independently by a not for profit nursery provider.
Councillor Sarah Betteley, cabinet member with responsibility for community, engagement and empowerment, said: “This is a good use of the council’s land and will enable care for both the borough’s younger residents in the nursery as well as our older generation in the extra care units.”
