Covid cases go down today but four new deaths reported in Milton Keynes

The number of positive tests dropped from 99 yesterday to just 62 today. This brings the city's total to 17,711.
Meanwhile the four new deaths sadly bring the Mk death toll to 394 since the start of the pandemic/ These are all people who have died within 28 days of having a positive Covid test.

Hide AdThe MK case rate today stands at 328.8 cases per 100,000 people, which is still higher than the England average of 281.9. But it is less than a third of what it was three weeks ago.
Milton Keynes hospital still has 178 Covid patients, eight of whom are on ventilations.
Nationally there were 16,840 new Covid cases over the past 24 hours and 1,449 deaths, bringing the UK's total death toll to 108,013
Government figures show 9,646,715 people have now had their first dose of Covid vaccine and 496,796 of them have also had the second dose.
