Covid cases rise slightly in MK - but no deaths again today

MK is now approaching two weeks without a Covid-linked death, according to government figures.

Over the past 24 hours, 24 new cases have been recorded in the borough. This compares to 11 yesterday (Monday)

The number of Covid patients in MK hospital has now fallen to 45 and one of these is on a ventilator.

Milton Keynes seven-day case rate has dropped to 50.5 cases per 100,000 people today. For well over a week now, MK's case rate has been below the national average, which currently stands at 56.2 cases per 100,000 people.

Nationally there were 4,040 new cases confirmed today and 56 deaths were recorded. Some 30,680,948 people have now received their first dose of Covid vaccine and 3,838,010 the second dose.
