79-year-old suffers a broken hip in robbery

A 79-year-old woman broke her hip when she was shoved to the ground by a teenage robber on Tuesday afternoon.

The victim was walking by the junction of Church Street in Wolverton at 3.40pm when she was approached by a boy.

He pushed her and pulled her handbag, causing her to fall, before running away with the bag.

The offender was white, in his teens, of average build, about 5ft to 5ft 1in, with short hair. He wore a dark hooded jacket and dark trousers.

The black handbag contained cash and pink glasses with gold on the side and top of the frames, with a brass 
coloured chain on each side.
