Pio Pijuan Nguema left his BMW, which had significant accident damage, no MOT or road tax, outside Saxon Court in CMK.

He ignored a notice and letter from MKC’s Environmental Crime Unit asking for the car to be moved, at which point Council officers issued a £200 Fixed Penalty Notice.

Here he was convicted of abandoning the vehicle under S.2(1)(a) Refuse Disposal (Amenity) Act 1978 and ordered to pay fines and charges totalling £1,265.

Councillor Emily Darlington, Cabinet member for the public realm said: “A badly damaged and dangerous vehicle is now off MK’s roads thanks to Environmental Crime Officers at MK Council.

“It’s not okay to abandon a vehicle and expect someone else to clean up after you. I hope the bills this man incurred sends a strong message to anyone else thinking of doing the same.”
