Burglar entered woman’s home and assaulted her

A woman was attacked in her own home by a burglar who burst into the property and demanded money.

The victim was at home with her children in Tandra, Beanhill, on Tuesday afternoon (January 20) between 12.30-1.15pm when the man entered the property.

After assaulting the victim he took cash and jewellery, before leaving via the front door and heading down Maslin Drive.

Five rings including a gold wedding band and a diamante engagement ring were stolen, along with a pair of yellow gold earrings in leaf shape and two bangles with gold, silver gold and gold leaf patterns.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The offender was a black man, around 6ft, and slim. He was wearing a black woollen beanie-style hat with the rim turned up and the word ‘Thinsulate’ stitched in white writing across the front. He was also wearing black ear muffs or headband and a black balaclava, black or blue baggy jeans, black and white boots and black woollen gloves.
