Car seized by police in Milton Keynes following fly-tipping investigation

Earlier this year a person was caught on CCTV dumping car parts in bushes outside shops in Farthing Grove, Netherfield, using the seized Audi TT car.

MK Council officers opened an investigation and began efforts to contact the car’s owner, who failed to respond until it was seized. The investigation can now continue, MKC said.

Cllr Emily Darlington said: "We will use all our powers to catch people who treat our city like a tip. It’s a serious criminal offence and will do all we can to crackdown on offenders to reduce waste crimes across MK.

“Since the vehicle seizure today, the owner has now come forward and MKC officers will now investigate further as part our fly tipping prevention work."
