A teenager was punched to the ground in a failed robbery this afternoon.

At 4pm on 22 September the 14-year-old victim was walking on a footpath between Melrose Avenue and the V4 Watling Street near a railway bridge, when he saw a man leaning against a fence

Despite attacking the boy, and ripping his trouser pocket, he failed to get the victim’s wallet before being kicked and running away.

The attacker is described as white, aged 20 to 24, around 5ft 10in, and skinny. He had a black eye, two eyebrow piercings, and wre a large hooded top.
